The Park Hyatt Vendome Hotel is housed in a grand Parisian building, with a colonnade, canopies, wrought iron balconies and pretty window boxes. Ed Tuttle, the famous interior designer, was inspired by French classical architecture, which he has incorporated into the property’s contemporary design. Symmetrically balanced spaces, high ceilings and interior courtyards benefit from the simple, modern use of classic materials such as mahogany and limestone. This is combined with an emphasis on 'a residential feel' and the careful selection of original contemporary works of art throughout the hotel. The 178 spacious guestrooms have been decorated in simple, neutral tones with fabrics commissioned from Jim Thompson, who is responsible for all the fine chenille dispersed throughout the hotel. Elegant furnishings are juxtaposed with an underlying sense of serenity, providing a rejuvenating retreat for business and leisure travellers alike. The hotel's restaurant-lounge, "Les Orchidées", featuring a large glass conservatory and a fireplace, is an ideal setting for breakfast and lunch as well as an excellent meeting place.
